Work shift for this position is 6:50 pm - 7:00 am, rotating days EOWEO

Overview

The Scale House Attendant is responsible for greeting and directing all customers, vendors and visitors in and out of the Nanshan America facility.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Logs visitors in guest book, contacts department expecting the visitors, directs them where to enter           the building and answers questions accurately;
  • Reviews and confirms paperwork for incoming and outgoing loads;
  • Able to react to emergencies and direct emergency personnel in a calm demeanor; 
  • Provides general upkeep of the Scale House;
  • Completes administrative tasks including regular filing, email suppliers for pack list, prepare labels for       loading dock, and prepares inspection and delivery sheets;
  • Keeps immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention;
  • Attends company sponsored training and meetings as directed;
  • Work overtime as needed;
  • Monitors and tracks trailers on site;
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as daily reporting, supplier correspondence, including data               entry and minor customer service responsibilities;
  • Approaches all encounters with employees, customers & vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner;
  • Keeps open communication between suppliers regarding POs and pay weights;
  • Schedules incoming scrap appointments and maintains delivery schedule;
  • Performs other required tasks as assigned.

  Job Requirements 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Experienced working with proprietary software and computer applications;
  • Ability to work 12 hours shift, EOWEO or weekends only schedule;
  • Strong attention to detail, strong problem solver, able to create solutions to challenges in an expedient       manner.
  • Willingness to work in a small climate-controlled workplace and outdoors to do other duties;
  • Willingness to work weekends, extended hours, and/or designated holidays;
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
