Sales Training and Development Manager

Overview
The Training and Development Manager is a leadership role responsible for guiding and managing a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSM). This role encompasses all aspects of team development, from selection of candidates, coaching, and performance management to ensure RSM’s focus is on driving sales and the achievement of sales targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads sales team in the process of generating customer contacts, building customer relationships and expanding pipelines
- Provides leadership, coaching and training to assist RSM’s in territory development
- Responsible for customer accounts in areas where no designated RSM has been assigned
- Organize sales efforts across all territories to identify customers operating in multiple locations with similar product requirements
- Manages process for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities
- Works closely with all departments including operations, quality, technical and finance to ensure sales team efforts align with company goals
- Provide regular and periodic reports summarizing overall group activities, account development and potential areas for new business
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or relevant field preferred
- Ten or more years of sales experience required
- Minimum (5) years sales experience in Aluminum Extrusion required
- Minimum (5) years of leadership and development of successful teams
- Prior experience utilizing CRM programs
- Familiarity with MS Suite programs, Excel, Word, etc.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
