Will train on 1st shift (6:50 am - 3:00 pm) until ready to move to 3rd shift (10:50 pm - 7:00 am) Sun - Thurs

Overview
The Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the production flow for aluminum extrusion lines, general production and personnel supervision on respective shifts.
Job Responsibilities
· Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating extrusion presses, applying knowledge of extrusion press operation and properties of metals under heat and pressure;
· Inspects the quality of materials and alerts the Extrusion Manager or appropriate personnel of material issues/failures immediately;
· Inspects the quality of the machinery and reports equipment failures to the maintenance department;
· Ensures that all shift paperwork is accurate and complete;
· Directs installation of specified dies and other tooling in extrusion presses;
· Examines sampling of products for adherence to specifications;
· Properly trains personnel to operate, adjust and maintain extrusion lines to maximize capacity;
· May set up presses for employees
· Performs other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, technical engineering, operations or a related field;
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in aluminum extrusion facility;
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced changing business environment;
- Familiar with manufacturing, safety and quality process concepts, practices, and procedures;
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment;
- Provide communication to workforce via written, visual, and electronic methods to build agreement and understanding;
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail.
